Saphra is a healthcare strategy and development advisory based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We work with independent physicians and physician groups on the question of where and how their procedures should be performed: the market case for a surgical facility, the ownership and management structures that make it work, and the operating economics that follow. Our work is grounded in claims-level and licensure data rather than industry generalities.
Evan Hewel, Founder
Evan Hewel founded Saphra after a career spanning pharmaceutical analytics, health-system information leadership, and physician-services investing. As Chief Information Officer of a multi-state behavioral health company, he was part of the leadership team through its nine-figure transaction with a private equity sponsor. He has built market and facility models across gastroenterology, ophthalmology, urology, cardiovascular, and podiatry, and has a working command of MSO structures, site-of-service economics, and Pennsylvania corporate practice of medicine law.
